ABSTRACT
Introduction and aim of the study:
Development of information and communication technology may lead to an improvement of the situation in the health service. Telenursing will help with the promotion of health. The aim of the study is to show telenursing in orthopaedics, and also present many benefits resulting from it, both for the patient and the
medical staff.
Brief description of the state of knowledge:
An aging society needs both qualified nursing staff and the possibility of quick medical and nursing examinations. Giving suggestions, pieces of advice and nursing care by nurses specialized in their profession with the use of, among others, a videoconference, will lead to significant benefits for patients, doctors,
nurses and physiotherapists.
Summary:
Implementation of virtual visits can lead to improvement in the situation in health protection. Telenursing could broaden the qualifications of a nurse and also increase the quality of service. Telenursing could possibly stop the labourrelated emigration of nurses in Poland.
