ABSTRACT
Introduction:
Many factors exert an effect on the shaping of educational, occupational and life plans, including social, economic and psychological factors. Certainly, while selecting an occupation and work, the material standard of the family, prospects for education and work in a given area, and the expected remuneration are of great importance. It happens that occupational motivation changes during education. With age, there occurs the crystallization of interests and closer familiarization with the occupation learned, which may modify the to-date attitude.

Objective:
The objective of the study was recognition of the opinions of adolescents completing agricultural schools concerning the selection of an occupation, further education, and personal life

Material and Methods:
The study was conducted by the technique of a survey. The procedure applied consisted in the repetition of studies conduced six years earlier among adolescents completing agricultural schools.

Results:
Within the last 6 years, the plans of adolescents completing agricultural schools have not changed significantly. Young people have a more positive emotional attitude towards rural areas, agriculture, occupation learned, and running own farm.

Summing up:
Adolescents educated in agricultural specialties perceive positive social and economic changes in the rural areas, show a more positive emotional attitude towards rural areas, agriculture, occupation learned, and increasingly more often declare the desire to stay in the country and run own farm which, in the long term, may result in an improvement of the psychological condition of Polish farmers.
