ABSTRACT
The article contains a description of the main assumptions and goals of the programme: ‘Limiting social exclusion and levelling chances of children from rural areas and small towns by creation of anetwork of community centres in selected communes in eastern Poland’. This programme has been developed to facilitate the solving of important problems, especially those pertaining to health among young rural inhabitants exposed to social exclusion due to poverty, difficult life situation, or hindered access to education.
The programme has been established as a grant and developed by the Polish Association of Christian Rural Organizations, financed by the GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical company.
