ABSTRACT
Introduction:
Uterine adnexial torsion is considered an obstetric and gynaecological emergency. The most common cases include torsion of the vascular pedicle of the ovary and Fallopian tubes and cystis perioviducti; torsion of the Fallopian tubes alone is more rare. Isolated torsions of cystis oviducti are extremely rare. The article presents a case of a 31-year-old patient with torsion of cystis serosa oviducti dextri detected in 37 th hbd (second pregnancy). Laparotomy was performed as appendicitis was suspected. Moreover, the pregnancy was terminated by Caesarean section before term as an emergency measure which was also planned earlier for neurological reasons. Key words: paratubal cyst, pregnancy, cyst torsion, laparotomy
