Excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) is connected with focal or generalized hyperfunction of the eccrine glands. Depending on etiology hyperhydrosis may be either emotionally caused (primary hyperhydrosis) or symptomatic (secondary hyperhydrosis). In this article, we report the case of women aged 55 who was admitted to the Internal Medicine Department, because of hyperhydrosis symptoms. Laboratory and imaging examinations: abdominal ultrasonography, chest CT, and head MRI were performed to exclude secondary causes of hyperhydrosis. Patient was treated with antiperspirants, amitriptyline, bellergot and recovery was obtained.
